its nice to show pending transaction now. still cant see reward point transaction

Best update this far. Addition of Touch ID for login & Pending Transactions makes Amex the perfect credit card. Now just bring us Apple Pay

Appreciate the pending transactions so I can be right up to date with my account. Great app overall in keeping it simple with a good UI. Missing one star for no access to reward points history in the app.

Great update with Touch ID login. Works perfectly. Now all I need is Apple Pay in Canada! (Update: just heard over Apples ER conference call that Apply Pay is coming to Canada through Amex! Cant wait!)

Although this is still not a fully native app and there are quite a few rough edges here and there, this is still light years ahead of any other financial institutions app I have ever used. Good job Amex!

Good looking app unfortunately Touch ID not working on 6S Plus.

Tim Hortons cashier this morning (Pay launch) was completely baffled to see me pay with my iPhone. He had absolutely no idea that was a thing and just proves how easy and revolutionary this technology is. Amex app is pretty neat too.

For a financial app, Amex CA is definitely way above par, so for this review, Ill focus on the improvement needed. When viewing details of a single transaction, I cannot use the standard swipe-from-left-edge gesture to go back to the transactions list view. I must use the back button, which is cumbersome on bigger phones like the iPhone 6. Amex CA on iOS should implement standard interactions, so iOS users can reuse what they already know.

Touch ID login is very nice. Apple Pay w/ Amex works great and is already accepted almost everywhere in Canada that takes Amex (restaurants, taxis, stores)

If you take your digital security seriously and use unique complicated passwords for your accounts, then don’t bother getting this app. It’s not integrated with 1password and it doesn’t let you copy and paste your user name or password from other apps. How is one supposed to access the app when using a password manager? You can’t, so don’t bother getting the app if you take security seriously. You won’t be able to get it to work unless you have super human memory and can fill your user name and password from memory. Which, if you’re doing security right, you shouldn’t be able to do.

Great app, especially the notifications for pending transactions. Please make an app for platinum & centurion card holders; fine hotels & resorts !

What about a native iPad app?

The app itself is great but if you hit Cancel on the Touch ID prompt it brings you to the log in page and runs as usual -isnt it supposed to stop you from continuing to the Log In page?

Touch ID, notifications to all devices including the Apple Watch and pending transactions make this a necessary app for all Canadian Amex users. It was easy to spot a double billing with two notifications. This meant a faster resolution with the store. Keep on improving this app. Thank you Amex For bringing Pay to Canada!
